it's been awhile since i cried so hard for a prayer meeting that i led myself...

it's those moments as if God allows me to feel what He's feeling. The anguish yet compassion that He has for His people.

2 Chron 7:14
"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land."

Quotes for the day

Time is very slow for those who wait, very fast for those are scared, very long for those who lament, very short for those who celebrate. But, for those who love, time is eternity.

Following...

I just read something about online stalking...

I think it's so scary...

Then when I logged in here, I found out that there is a device here that can help us to track other blogs! You will be informed whenever the blog is updated.

AND you can choose to do it ANONYMOUSLY...

*gosh*

Aching...

Shoulders.

Abs.

Inner thighs.

Even my neck hurts... I think I strained it cos my ab muscles dun have enough strength for the crunches and sit-ups...

=(

Letting it slip

I think I'm letting time slip too fast, too carelessly by me.

I need to plan and do something more concrete.

Henceforth, from today onwards, I've decided to list down all my TTD on a daily basis. And then check them off as I complete them.

I wanna make better use of my time rather than playing some crazy online-dun-need-to-install-games. If ya know what I mean...

To a more fulfilling tomorrow (as always)...

*CHEERS*

Or as what our Lit texts used to say, "Cheerio".

Bodylicious

I went for the session during lunch time today.

So how do I feel after the session? Summarised in 1 word : PAIN.

The session is meant to tone the abs, butts and thighs. Lost count how many lounges we did, how many crunches we did, how many sit-ups we did, etc... And rightly, I felt like my legs were wobbling when I climbed down the stairs from the studio to the changing room. My tummy also hurt when I sneezed just now.

I think. I prefer BodyCombat to this.

I guess I would rather be breathless, then be in pain for simple actions like climbing stairs and sneezing.

Only at Level 1...

I went for Body Combat class after work just now. All I can say is, I definitely need to workout more...

30mins into the class, I was trying to catch my breath. And the instructor said, "Alrite, after the water break let's move to Level 2 & 3." I was like, "Oh that means we were only at Level 1 all this while????"

*faintz*

BUT I'm glad I was not the only one that cannot make it... *hee*

I still made it till the end with all the jumping and punching and kicking. *yeah*

The many 1st times for today

Today. Out of the blue. My CEO decided to give a treat to a few of us. 2 from FD (cos LC is on MC) and 2 from SD, plus my boss of course. I was the smallest "fry" there lo...

We went to a Jap Restaurant at Tanglin area. All I can say is, the food must have been expensive. I estimate that it costs at least S$100 PER HEAD.

We ate the following:
- Puffer Fish (2 plates)
- Nato (2 plates)
- Assorted Sashimi (individual portions)
- Fried baby prawns (2 plates)
- Fried crab craw (1 each)
- Kinky fish (2 plates)
- Sweet corn (1 comb each)
- Individual Set Meals (I ate Cod Fish! Very nice!!! =)

So why do I say the meal costs so much? Because:
- Puffer Fish is poisonous. Only licensed restaurants can sell them and there are not many in Singapore.
- Assorted Sashimi which includes salmon, shell fish, tuna and 4 other unidentified fish. I'm guessing each portion costs S$25?
- Kinky fish is only about 6cm each yet they costs S$12!!!
- Premier Jap restaurant selling sweet corn? I dun think they sell it cheap.

The many 1st times:
- 1st time having lunch with a CEO (didn't have such opportunities for all my previous jobs, at least not in a group of only 6 pple)
- 1st time taking a CEO's car (BMW M5 I think)
- 1st time taking a car that has a REAL chauffeur
- 1st time eating Puffer fish
- 1st time eating the fried baby prawns
- 1st time eating kinky fish
- 1st time eating Jap sweet corn
- 1st time being introduced to my CEO which means that now he knows my name!

When we reached office, my CEO then offered us Handmade Dark Chocolate Truffles which taste H.E.A.V.E.N.L.Y.

And then unknowingly, my colleague went to buy donut tea break for us. So... I'm kinda bursting now.

Thank God I'm going gym after work! =)

A single stalk of white rose

On tues PO was on a flower-giving mission. She gave all the sisters in our team roses. And for me, she gave me a white rose.

I was really kinda surprised that out of all the red, pink, yellow roses that she had, she would actually on her own accord give me a white one.

Brings back such memories really. A long long long time ago.

You most prob wun be reading this, but I wonder if you still remember...

Coincidentally. Happy Birthday.

Encouragement - Gal 6:9

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

Day 10

Finally. We've reached the end of our 2weeks of morning PM. Seriously. I'm starting to miss it NOW. I miss the Presence of God.

So many things happened during these 10days. So many things that I prayed for. So many times that I cried when I prayed. Whether it is touched by God, burdened by the people that I was praying for or cos of somethings that happened... At the end, I still declare that God is Good! =)

Let me just list down the things that I experienced TODAY. There are too many if I were to start from Day 1.
- i prayed for EVERYONE in my CG and ALL of my close friends (so if u think u're my close friend, ya i prayed for you! hahahahaa)
- i saw a vision of someone. never seen that person before, so i really dunno who is that or why i saw him.
- God reminded me of what He once told me a long long time ago... Yes God, I still remember... I will always remember...
- Even before I read the prayer list or received the last sticker for today, God already impressed this verse on my heart the moment I knelt down to pray - Gal 6:9

Last but not least, the ONE thing that is impressed on my heart in these 10days: God treasures the moments that we set aside to spend with Him. A LOT. I will treasure it much much more from now on.

May my encounters NEVER cease...

My Father, my Friend, my Guide, my Comfort, my Lord, my All.

I love you Dad!

frankly speaking, i wasn't quite looking forward to the sot grad this Sunday initially.

cos it's always a very very very very very very very very very very long service. and i do not have close friends there this yr so it's gonna be kinda normal for me. UNTIL.

wed i was at jw for the morn prayer meeting. this particular guy went on stage to pray in Chinese for pst. i almost could not believe my eyes. he looks so familiar. yes. he was from that class i taught when i went for my NA trip last year! i still remember where he sat in that class, who was sitting beside him.

excitedly i sms-ed cyn to ask if she knew he was there. she said besides him, the cute uncle is also here!!! i immediately msn XL when i went back to office. she told me that out of the class that we taught, there are a total of 4 of them here this year, and a total of 9 (!!!) of them from there in sot!!! and i only found out like 3days before their graduation???

anyways. so i'm excited now! even if they do not recognise me, i know them. my students from NA. =) and they are here to study in SOT! and so cyn n i are going to look for them this sun after their graduation. gg to get them to pass something to XL also. and not forgetting our dear lanyi...

*i can still vividly remember that cute uncle! with a big heart that loves God...*

God.... pls let me go for my NEA or NA trip in Sept. AMEN.

Prelude to my near-future Post...

i think i'm really going to miss the morning Prayer Meets...

not that i will miss waking up at 4plus though.

i will miss being in the presence so early in the morning and being able to worship Him every morning like when i was in sot... :/

BUT one thing GOOD that i can think of once the morning PM ends... is that my face will be restored to its former glory!!! it's hideous now... sleeping for 4-5hrs a day is really taking a toil on my poor face... all the spots, dull skin and dark eye rings plus extra big eye bags... :(

I need my B.E.A.U.T.Y. sleep... BADLY.

What causes a Church to Grow or Decline

I came across this interesting article from a website.

Some of the contents might SHOCK some of you out there.

Adapted from "What Causes Churches to Grow or Decline?" Written by Dan Garland

Olson’s conclusion correlates with the research findings of Essential Church? Reclaiming a Generation of Dropouts, by Dr. Thom Rainer and Sam Rainer. The main question addressed in Essential Church is, "Why do so many young adults (18 to 22) leave the church, and what will it take to bring them back?"

The book is based on a study of one-thousand so-called "church dropouts" who were interviewed about why they left. Their answers are quite surprising, having less to do with "losing their religion" and more about the desire for a community that isn't made stale by simply maintaining the status quo.

Thom and Sam Rainer offer churches four concrete solutions toward making their worship community an essential part these young people's lives again:
1) Simplify - develop a clear structure and process for making disciples.
2) Deepen - provide strong biblical teaching and preaching.
3) Expect - let members know the need for commitment to the congregation.
4) Multiply - emphasize evangelism, outward focus, and starting new churches.

The churches that reach and keep young adults, that is churches who have experienced growth in the 18-22 age group, are churches who have addressed the internal structures, processes, expectations and elements of church. Namely, these churches have focused on the four internal factors of simplify, deepen, expectations, and multiply.

First, the church has learned to simplify.

Eric Geiger and Thom Rainer deal with this reality in their book, Simple Church. They maintain that church has become too complicated and too busy, filled with activities that have little coherent purpose. There is no clear process or path/structure for making disciples. The churches who are essential to lives of young adults work hard to communicate a clear process/path for becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

Second, the church moves its members to deepen their knowledge of God’s Word and His truths.

These essential congregations have done three things to deepen the discipleship of their members:
1) Relevant biblical preaching is found in the pulpit every Sunday.
2) Group Bible Study is a high priority and a core value of the church. An important finding is shown in the chart below: 83% of new members who became actively involved in a small group bible study class remained active in the church after five years. Those who attended only worship, only 16% of them remained active after five years.
3) The members are encouraged and expected to study and learn the Bible for themselves. In other words, they are taught and equipped to feed themselves from the Word of God.

Third, the church has high expectations of its members.
*SAB: YES. You see this rightly*

One of the keys to raising expectations is to have a clearly communicated membership process that explains the expectations of membership to new members. Essential churches believe they are called to make a difference and to call their members to make a difference in the name of Christ. This is clearly communicate on the front end and expected as one of the checkpoints of discipleship.

Essential churches have simple structures that move believers along a clearly defined process of maturity. The process can be easily communicated and understood. Essential churches make biblical teaching and preaching a core value in all they do. Essential churches create an environment of high expectations for the members.

Finally, the research revealed an essential church is committed to help its members multiply spiritually.

Evangelism is part of the heartbeat of the church. Missions and ministry are common in the lives of the members. Essential churches have an intentional strategy to reach the dechurched and the unchurched.

In short, the essential church focuses on four critical areas:

--------------------------------------------------

Questions that you may have asked before:
- why is it that our church always emphasize the importance of being a devoted follower of Christ?
- why is my CGL always asking me to attend bible studies, pray and read the bible?
- why is it that our church is always talking about making a difference, asking me to sacrifice or make a commitment?
- why is it that our church is always having activities and always asking us to bring friends?

* so much more that you and i can do*

i discovered that it just takes a split second for our emotions to drop to the lowest point.

there must be a way out of such a roller coaster.

looking for solutions from THE Book.

Fate

Frankly, I was kinda reluctant to watch this movie initially. I'm quite skeptical of movies which have to use "such" posters to draw in crowds. According to Jean Danker on Class 95 "I know nothing about the movie. But seeing the posters, it's reason enough to go watch it." Seems more appealing to the "bimbotic" ones (I'm NOT saying that Jean is) and I've always begged to differ... =)

But I succumbed to it eventually since we had no other plans and I went to watch it with a few of my members. Before I give my views on it, here's roughly the storyline:

In the dark criminal world of Seoul, U-min (Song), Cheol-jung (Kwon), Do-wan (Kim In-kwon) and Yeong-hwan (Ji Sung) are close friends in a gang. One day, with the help of an older member Gang-seop (Ahn Nae-seong), U-min, Cheol-jung and Do-wan attack the gang's casino so they can start new lives. But their plan goes awry when Cheol-jung betrays them, and U-min goes to prison. He becomes the scapegoat to save his friends' lives.

After serving his time, U-min wants to stay out of trouble but is drawn back into the underworld when he sees what has become of his friends: money and power-hungry Cheol-jung continues to betray others as he climbs up the gang ladder; Do-wan is a drug user; Gang-seop is missing; and his girlfriend Eun-yeong (Park Han-byul) has left him to run a bar as the boss' mistress.

As U-min tries to solve the situation, however, unfortunate twists of fate set off one misunderstanding after another. To make matters worse, the mob boss and right-hand man Yoeng-hwan get them involved in a huge drug deal. Once again thrown into a game with high stakes and big cash, the once best friends must fight one another for their lives.

In my words: The whole movie basically only has 2 females. The rest are all males. ALL. And the 2 females are both hostesses so it gives a kinda chauvinistic feel... *hehehe* Lots of action from beginning till end but I feel it's kinda simplistic. They fight all the time, but with their bare arms or really simple weapons like knives and baseball bats or broom handles. Acting is not bad though out of ALL the MANY males inside, there's only ONE cute guy. To me at least. =) And he's the unexpected bad guy at the end.

In short, everyone who plays lead or semi-lead died. Or will be locked up somewhere in a rehab center. And the cute guy makes off with tons of money. Movie ended with a scene from the past. Where relationships were pure, friendships were genuine. I guess this part connected with the viewers momentarily making them think about the relationships they had in schools. How things change when people grow up. So true. But thankfully many of our lives would never be as "eventful" and action-packed as theirs.

If you like male-dominated movies or think that Korean guys are cute, this is the movie for you. =)

Day 5 - 8

Just when I thought I'm getting used to waking early, I realised that it still takes a lot out of me to drag myself out of bed.

Not that I'm not looking forward to the morning prayer meets, I really really am. In fact I think I'm one of the more motivated ones? Hehhee....

If I thought Day 1 - 5 was good, I was under-estimating our Almighty God again.

Mon @JW proved to be great. I went to my usual seat (center slope, choir side, 3rd row from the back, 5 seats in. Yes I sit here ALL THE TIME when I go JW! :) and assumed my usual position. Immediately I entered into the flow of prayer. One thing that deeply touched me was when they played one of our recent worship songs in Chinese. I teared immediately thinking of my trip last year. Oh how I miss that place, those people, the privilege to make a difference. Excitement arose while I prayed for them, for myself to be able to go there again. To see those whom God loves dearly, that He had to create sooooooo many of them! =)

Tues @SP was great too! Though I must say that people in JW were more prayerful (this is PURELY my own opinion, cos everyone that made an effort to go is already very commendable! :), presence at SP was good also. Standing there, I was touched when I began to pray for my dearest zone. Prayed for my dear Pst, for some of my dearest friends, for my own members and I started to cry. There is so much more that we want to do, so much more that we can do. Use us God! Let the works of our hands begin to prosper, that we would be pleasing in Your sight.

Today I went back to JW. Well, I've always preferred there cos I guess this was the place I had most of my encounters. But today was MUCH MORE crowded than any of the other days. My usual seat was still available of course, since I reached at 650am. =) BUT there were people sitting on both my sides, unlike my usual where I had at least 1 seat in between me and any other people. So being the conscious me, I stood up to pray instead of kneeling cos I dun really like the fact that people might be tuning in to what I'm praying about. Hee. Perhaps because it wasn't my usual position, I experienced an extraordinary moment.

Mon I was touched by my memories of my trip and that special place. Tues I was touched by praying for my zone and my CG. Today, it was just about Him. The focus today was on Him and me. God my Abba Father. Spending time with my Father is all that matters to Him, and that should be all that matters to me. Not about what I do to serve Him, it's simply about loving Him enough (alone) to wait on Him. Nothing complex or tiresome or difficult. That at the end of the day, God is reminding me once again that like how I began, this should be how I remain. I started off my journey because He 1st loved me and I ended up loving Him, not for blessings, not for success, not for recognition, not for anything. So this is how my walk should remain.

You alone are More than Enough for me.

Anticipating Thurs!!!

Thinking of going to JW on Friday, so I just might go SP tmr. If fate allows, I'll see you there. =)

i've decided to go through some "inward training" from today to friday...

*hahahahahaa*

Righteousness - 2 Cor 5:21

"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Forgiveness - 1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

How to Stay Awake...

The Steps to take:

1) Try and take a break to get up and walk around every half hour at least. Go get a drink, go to the bathroom, the copy machine/printer, wherever.

2) Avoid stimulants. Commonly, people will drink coffee or soda products to keep caffeine in your system. However, the more this is used, the more glucose/fructose syrup will enter your body. This ingredient, known as "High Fructose Corn Syrup" on most soda drinks, will coat your mouth and tongue with a thin layer of syrup which holds on to sugars and flavors in the drink, giving you a taste of the drink all day and possibly forming an addiction. Caffeine itself is a mixed blessing. There are many reasons why caffeine makes us alert. A safe alternative to caffeine or sugary drinks is an apple (and it's healthier, and cheaper too).

3) Multi-task-- try to do more than one thing at a time. Doing one thing for a long period of time will make you zone out and fall asleep easier. Also if you're not sure how long tasks will take you, it will help you manage your time better.

4) Create goals for yourself. Breaking longer tasks into units small enough to be finished in one focused single-task session will allow you to feel successful throughout the day. The success feeling will wake you up.

5) Don't sit in the same position for extended periods of time. Move your head, arms, legs, body.

6) Try eating sunflower seeds still in the husk. Put a small handful in your cheek and crack them open one at a time, using only your teeth and tongue. This will require just enough active thought and tongue movement to prevent you from dozing off, and the salt of the sunflower seeds is invigorating and stimulating. Sunflower seeds can be even more effective than coffee, and have no negative side effects. Spit out the sunflower husks into a paper cup as you go, as quietly as possible so as to not disturb others around you.

7) Realize that you may not be as tired as you think you are. Often times you'll find that throughout the day, you are fantasizing about going to sleep as soon as you get home. Does this actually happen? For many of us, we find ourselves awake and alert when we're off work and enjoying the rest of the day. Notice this psychological contribution that your mind is making.

8) When you get up to move around make a trip to the bathroom to splash cold water on your face, it's amazing how well this will help you stay alert.

9) Drink a lot of water, i.e. fill up your coffee mug/cup with water from the cooler all day. This is twofold: first, you get your required intake of water which is beneficial to your health. Second, this guarantees you getting up every half hour to go to the bathroom.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Tips:

- When drinking beverages with caffeine in them, be aware that caffeine is more effective if you consume frequently in small amounts.

- Sunflower seeds are cheap and effective, but are usually highly salted. If you have heart problems that require a low sodium diet, consult your physician.

- Getting comfortable will put you to sleep fast, move around!

- Set specific small goals, things that you can achieve in under an hour, then do them. Measurable accomplishment is exciting.

- Every hour or so of sitting stand up, stretch your arms and get your blood moving. Keeping your body still for long periods of time is a good way to not stay awake.

- Make sure you get enough sleep! Most adults need between six and eight hours of sleep each night.

- Don't eat a huge lunch. 'Food Coma' is not a good thing when you are leading a 2pm meeting.

- Drink water during breaks; it keeps you fresh and gives you a good feeling from inside.

- If you feel yourself dozing off, try pulling on your earlobes. Studies have shown that this can help you stay alert and keep focused when feeling tired.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Strange as it may sound, I tried and tested the last tip and it worked!!! But now my earlobe is itching... Maybe my hands were dirty when I was pulling it... =(

mixture of the following at different degrees:
anguish.disappointment.dissatisfaction.excitement.confusion.

asking the same mono-syllabic questions yet again.

i need to break free from this vicious cycle.

Oh how i HATE it whenever i gain new ground, that old ground is lost.

Day 2 - 5

Dun think I will give much details of my morning prayers here. Just that I'm really touched by God's love. I definitely DO NOT regret waking up early at 4plus am each morning so that I can reach either JW or SP early.

Perhaps I'm biased, but I REALLY think that there is a difference in the atmosphere between JW & SP. Perhaps also because in JW I'm able to reach before 7am and hence am able to find and make space for myself to really kneel down and pray. SP is just TOO squeezy!!! The person next to you is just too near... Too near for me to be able to pray "in comfort" actually. So on Friday when I went to SP for the 2nd time, though there were empty seats here and there, I choose the floor. It was cold and hard. My knees kinda hurt... *sigh, getting old sia*

Looking forward to this week's morning PM.

I need more of You. Preserve me oh God. *only You will understand what I mean...*

Missing my Chill Outs...

Yesterday after work I did a very aunti-sh thing. I went for a shoulder massage...

But it was good! And I really don't regret going cos it really felt quite good though it only lasted 10mins. =) I didn't go for the 30mins one cos I dun think I can take it. The last time I went, I had to keep controlling myself from bursting out laughing cos I'm kinda ticklish. And the previous lady rubbed so hard into my head that it hurt and TONS of hair fell off... ='( I cannot afford losing TONS x 2, so I opted for the quickie-on-the-go. Turned out that I still had to control my laughter cos the lady asked me twice that I could tell her to stop if I found it ticklish.

*sigh... 真沒用*

While I was leaving that place, I heard an oh-so-familiar song. It was a song that I often hear whenever I go chill out with my friends. Think it's a rather popular soft rock song that many live bands often play. Then suddenly I felt so sadz... It's Friday night and I'm not going chill out with my friends! =(

With some of them having Fri Cg, some being busy with work and others overseas... So sadz... Having said that, I suddenly cannot exactly remember who used to hang out with me on Friday nights. Has it been that long? Other than the Queen and RL, I cannot really remember who else always went out with me to such places on Fridays...

*hmmm... I'm seriously getting old without myself knowing it...*

Provision - Phil 4:19

"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Breakfasts

For ALL 5 days, Pst K ensured that all the people that went for the Prayer Meetings had breakfast!

Pst is soooooooooooooooooo nice!!! I cannot think of another Pst that is as thoughtful and generous as him.

Not only was it packed daily so that the people can just grab and go, Pst also ensured that the food was DIFFERENT everyday!

Mon (JW) - Bee Hoon
Tues (SP) - Egg & Ham Sandwich + Milo
Wed (JW) - Hotdog Bun, Ham Bun & Lor Mai Gai + Soya Bean Drink
Thurs (JW) - Noodles with Hotdog, Fish Cake, Seaweed Chicken + Green Tea
Fri (SP) - 2 Siew Mai, 2 Har Gao & Lor Mai Gai + Green Tea

Where on earth can you find good food just by attending a morning prayer meeting?

Faith - Heb 11:1

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

620am MRT

Statics of the 620am MRT / Per carriage (JW):
- all seats filled
- 20 to 40 standing after CCK
- 50 to 70 standing reaching JW

Statics of the 622am MRT / Per carriage (BL):
- all seats filled
- 50 to 70 standing after JW
- ratio of female: male = 1:10

Majority of the people standing at the door and blocking you from going in at JE, actually only alights at BL... Sigh...

Must everyone be so aggressive and in such a rush so early in the morning? Is it a "Singaporean" thing or an "Asian" thing since many of the people standing there are not locals...

A thought: In conclusion, I feel that the MRT is generally packed since 6am till after morning peak hours which is like at least till almost 10am. Evening trains are also packed, from 5plus till almost mid-night. Then why is it that our transport providers still hint that they are unable to cover their costs and demand a price hike again?? What kind of ridership would be considered "optimal" for good profit-making (oopss I meant "break even")?

disclaimer: anything mentioned above is purely the thoughts of yours truly. it's purely meant to be thought-provoking. nothing more.

Bruises everywhere....

i realised that recently i've been having bruises the size of 5cent coins on my hands.

they appeared overnight...

once it turns from red to brown, a fresh one appears... =(

The Queen has responded! =)

612am MRT

Statics of the 612am MRT / Per carriage (JW):
- all seats filled - 10 to 20 standing after CCK
- 30 to 40 standing reaching JW

Statics of the 625am MRT / Per carriage (PR):
- all seats filled
- 30 to 40 standing after JW

Resembles the morning rush hour crowd, but those that are late...

Day 1 of 10

Didn't exactly sleep soundly last night. Guess I was kinda excited about what was ahead.

Unfortunately, my tu-ing skills still got the better of me. Woke up at 5.15am BUT only managed to leave 1hr later. Ended up being LATE though I went to JW! =(

I will try to be earlier tmr!!!! AMEN!!!

Anyway, was rather surprised that there were LOTS of people already there. Though I guess everyone went for different reasons, I'm sure if the heart was anywhere near where their bodies where, they would have been blessed.

Initially was not so easy going for me. As I was late, I had to look for a suitable spot with JD. When we finally settled down, was kinda discouraging seeing the people around me. The lady beside me was REALLY TRYING her best to stay awake. *kudos for her effort*

The 2 SOT students in front of me were well, looking around and shaking their legs. Frankly whenever I see SOT students not engaging, I feel a little "angry". They are wasting what would have been the best moments in their life! The very reason why they came all the way here, whether they paid on their own or someone sponsored them, YET.... Why like that? =(

Anyway, WHEN I finally got passed all these, I got into my usual PH position. It was only half-way through all the praying that I finally "lost" myself. Suddenly it seems like I was transported back to HW. The familiar red chairs, the faint music at the back, the fervent people all around.. That was where I started, that will be where I will remain in my walk... The reason why I'm doing what I'm doing now - it all started from that place. Where I learnt to tarry, How I learnt to hear, When I learnt to delight, Since the very beginning.

Session ended with a simple worship which was my all-time fave song - Glorious Redeemer. This song never fails to bring such gratitude in me that tears will flow freely cos I know that Someone paid for me to be FREE.

As the journey continues tomorrow, would you be there with me?
SingPost this time. Cya! =)

I miss The Queen.... 2

Suddenly I miss you, the Queen. And you only just left on Tues?!?!?! =(

My future days are not going to be the same for the next 2 years...

Wherever you are is soooooo far away! Netherlands? Norway? Neverneverland? Or where Santa stays? (heee)

Things I'll miss my dear Queen for:
- our dinner / movie dates
- our impromptu meet ups
- your companionship that never fails to brighten up my rainy days
- your simplicity in material things (or the tendency to not pursue them in contrast with me...)
- your courage to just drop everything to go after your passion (your poor mummy)

In just ONE word: YOU

I MISS YOU!!! =(

Characteristics:
- Dark-skinned with beautiful eyes (Hermia... wherefore thou art Lysander? heee....)
- Choir member that hates singing (????)
- 1st person I know to practise Hot Yoga
- Been travelling to school with me for 4 years (Sec3, Sec4, JC1, JC2)
- Took 2 years to finish writing my autograph book and covered most of the pages...
- Debated with me as to whether people who go for gender-change are actually h-o-m-o-s... (i still think they are!)
- Engineer to be Pyscho-logist =)

So if you spot her, PLEASE let me know. :/

Greater is He

WHO AM I
THAT YOU WASH MY FEET
THE PRINCE OF HEAVEN'S BLOOD SHED FOR ME
WHO AM I
THAT YOU CALLED MY NAME
NAILED MY SIN TO A CROSS
UNFAILING GRACE

GREATER IS HE WHO'S IN ME
GREATER ARE YOU THAN ALL THE EARTH
MY CLOSEST FRIEND MY SAVIOR
SO MUCH MORE THAN I DESERVE

LET MY LIFE BRING YOU HONOR
LET MY WORDS BRING YOU PRAISE
YOUR GREAT LOVE IS ALL I WANT LORD

MY REFUGE, MY SHELTER, MY HEALER AND REST ALMIGHTY, REDEEMER, SALVATION AND STRENGTH

CHRISTIAN CITY CHURCH

They are not known as Non-Jew "Judaist".

They are known as "Messianic Believers".

I miss The Queen

I'm seriously starting to miss the Queen... =(

Update more once I have the chance to... :/

Night falls and I lie awake in deafening silence.

Except for the incessant creaking of my laborious fan.

Numerous thoughts run through my head as I stare blankly ahead.

Wondering.

Mono-syllabic questions dominate the space between my ears.

Why. When. How.

Moments of overwhelming emotions stop short of tears rolling down.

When. How.

Isa. 40: 30-31
"Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

How.

Wait on the Lord.

The other 2 questions faded away.

A Non-Jew "Judaist"?

I wonder what do people who practice Judaism, yet are non-Jews called?

I met one such person recently. Really interesting.

When he explains why he gave up Christianity to embrace Judaism, I can understand where he is coming from. Just a little more extreme and even more fervent than most of us actually.

I miss the Holy Land. The night of a thousand stars. The pink / violet hills. The gentle breeze on the Sea of Galilee.

Even if I never go back again, I will always remember my moments there.

My miracle

My miracle ceased. And I wonder why... =(

Yet I'm reminded of what I preached in CG just a week ago. That sometimes my dream dies so that God can do a bigger miracle for me.

It will be a resurrection, not just a healing.

That day will come.

Farewell (Part 2 - the REAL one for WW at least)

Yes, there's no mistake in the title. The photos for Part 1 are in my TD that I'm lazy to go get it now, so I'll load what's available from my email. Intro along the way.... =)

Make a guess WHICH is my new colleague???? hahahaaa.....

Sab the mop-head with the TALL HH and nice WW

Evolution of FOP...

I still remember the 1st FOP I attended. How different it was from what I experienced 2days ago.

Gone are the ladies wearing white flowing dresses with colourful ribbons as belts and tambourines in hand; dancing to hymns as the congregation look on.

Now we have Parachutes / Hillsongs / Delirious? / etc... Lights going out with only the stage spotlights dancing to the music.

Amazing how things have changed in 9years...

The Death Clock - When are YOU going to die???

Check out this site.

I think the person who came out with this is quite cool! =)

Seriously, maybe I'm REALLY a closet morbid...

Longest Possible that I may live to...

Shortest Possible that I may live to...

So all, let's KEEP FIT and have an OPTIMISTIC outlook on life so that we can LIVE A LONG LIFE! =)

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh................

I accidentally plucked out 2 of my eyebrows! =(

It's a BIG DEAL to me cos there was a period of time when I was in JC that I was so stressed that my eyebrows THINNED... One side only had half of the brows left... =(

God, please let it grow normally again...

You're my Healer, You're more than enough for me...

Something amazing that I came across in Bee's blog...

If you suddenly lose everything that you've ever had, if everyone in this world has forsakes you, would Jesus be more than enough for you?

A hole in my POCKET

For some reason I was REALLY late today. Ended up taking cab to work which costs me a BOMB!!!!!!!

A whopping S$29 from my hse to office!!!!!

*faintz*

*woke up and saw the amt, faintz again*

Eventful Lunch Break

Once again today I had the privilege to lunch on my own... =) Such alone times are cherished by me!

I decided to take a bus over to MS to walk around a bit and hopefully spend off my Espirit voucher. Though the bus took a rather long time to come, but everything thereafter took off pretty well. Feeling REALLY hungry, I went to the food court for my meal and found a HUGE table waiting for me. Didn't need to search around for seats though it was crowded at the peak of lunch time.

Walked around and eventually bought something with my voucher!=) Only paid S$7 for a nice Espirit t-shirt!!! Hee...

Time flew passed by then and so I took a slow walk back to office. Went through the Esplanade and Fullerton as I walked. The weather was FINE! Sunny yet tremendously windy. Walking by the bridge linking Esplanade to Fullerton was a really enjoyable moment. With the Sun, the Sea and the nice Breeze, what can go wrong?

To add to my joy, I saw this when I passed Fullerton:

I was ESTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life was never the same ever since my nearest one closed down several months ago. Till now I still miss my Ultimate badly. Not to mention the serenity and ambiance...

Hence in the near future, my 2 fave HOT & COLD coffee places will be within walking distance from my office. AND both will offer GREAT views being just next to One Fullerton. *woohoo*

Continuing my walk across the road, I passed Fullerton Hotel. Today's "view" was GOOD.

There were 5 nice cars that I spotted as I passed the back entrance; a nice white Mitsubishi Racer, a nice grey Jaguar, a nice Black BMW Racer, a nice Black GTR Racer and finally a nice Black BMW Convertible Racer. What a sight man!

I so much wanted to take a photo of all the cars but I was afraid the security would chase me away and ban me from every entering that place again and so I restrained myself...

Next time... I will whip up my cam and faster than you can say, "HUH!" I will capture a shot of the splendid array of cars on "display"... =)

Till next eventful lunch time...
